What to wear

because it matters

  • Go with a color scheme. The less colors the better. Neutral always photographs better, especially in nature.

  • The brighter the color on your clothing, the more it can reflect onto your skin tone.

  • Busy patterns don’t photograph well. Small patterns are also a no-go.

  • Be mindful when pattern mixing! It bodes well to have one person in a pattern and others in solids.

  • Think coordinating, not matching perfectly.

Basic tips

Think about!!

Posing

Short dresses + skirts limit posing quite a bit. So avoid those or simply plan a second outfit that helps us get a variety of poses in!

Shoe choices

Certain locations don't go great with heels or even open toed shoes. Think carefully about your shoe options and ask questions about the location you picked if need be!

Accessories

Jewelry, hats, glasses, bows, jackets, etc. All can enhance the overall images so don’t forget to add some in for a little flare.

  • Neutral colors

  • Muted tones

  • Textures - think velvet, layers, etc.

  • Plan your outfits based on your selected locations

  • Text or email me for advice!

DO’s!

  • Logos + Graphic Tees

  • Everyone wearing the same thing (think 90’s white tees and jeans)

  • Apple Watches

  • Tight pants + phones in pockets!

  • Neon colors

  • Dress to casual
