Cam + Kinley: A dreamy sunset beach session on Sanibel Island

Let me start by saying… I am based in central Indiana. This was just a fun session of my brother-in-law and his girlfriend during our family vacation. However, I would absolutely love to do more beach photos. Whether that’s flying to beaches around the country or just simply hiking up to the Indiana Dunes for similar vibes, I would be down for either. There’s just something so romantic about shooting on the beach, especially at sunset. You can’t beat the natural colors of the skies and water and sand. And of course, I had always dreamed of photographing a couple with the seagulls around them.

We love Sanibel Island and I loved shooting these. When I was searching for a photographer in Sanibel I couldn’t really find any online that were specific to the island. It made me briefly contemplate whether I should move there and be the island photographer myself. Maybe one day! But for now, I’ll just share these dreamy sunset images and stay put here in Indiana; trying to make Indiana look half as good as the beach does in photos.

I will say, if you took a beach or mountain based photographer and put them in Indiana, they wouldn’t stand a chance of creating images as great as us Indy photographers can. It takes a special type of eye to find the beauty in the midwest most of the time, haha!
